Lively bush dances for everyone

We regularly hold bush dances and are working hard to expand our events. This style of dance is easy to learn, great for meeting people, and provides excellent exercise. No partners or experience are needed, just grab a spot on the floor and follow our caller’s lead.

Do I need to bring a dance partner?

Are children and families welcome?

It's always good to bring a partner, however, if you don't have one it's a great place to meet new people. It may be difficult to find a partner depending on numbers so if you are unsure just contact us! We encourage a welcoming community where people are comfortable to dance with new partners.

Nothing makes us happier than seeing families dancing together! We have had children as young as 7 join us, and so long as the child is paired with a guardian at all times they will have a great time. Please be mindful that the environment can be very stimulating and the music quite loud.

What should I be wearing?

We recommend wearing comfortable enclosed shoes with good grip, clothing which is not so loose it may get tangled up, and modest clothing as there is a lot of moving about! Keep in mind that you do warm up very quickly while dancing so be ready to take off some layers.

Do I need any dancing experience?

No previous dancing experience is needed! All the moves are very simple and taught before each song is played. Don't worry about getting them perfect it's more about the spirit, nobody is watching anyway!
